Leaving Corpus....

• Take Hwy 77 Northeast toward Victoria.

• When you reach Hwy 59, head North toward Houston.

• Take the El Campo / Hwy 960 Exit.  

• Follow the road into town.  

• At the junction with Hwy 71 (Also called Mechanic St.), take a right (you'll see an abandoned Pizza Hut at this corner).

• Head West on Hwy 71 through town.  You'll pass a McDonald's on your right, then a Sutherland's on your right, and then Jack's gas station.  

• Just after Jack's, you'll pass the junction with FM 2765.  Keep going straight on Hwy 71.  About 1.4 miles ahead you'll see the sign for FM 1300 on the right side of the road.  

• Take a left onto FM 1300.

• Head down FM 1300 for 5.7 miles.

• You'll come to a stop sign at the junction with FM 1160.  Take a left.

• About 200 yards ahead on your right is the continuation of FM 1300.  Take a right onto FM 1300.

• Head down FM 1300 for 10.3 miles.  You'll pass a church on your left, then El Rancho de Los Platos on your right.  There will be a curve to the right, then a curve to the left.  Then you'll pass over a bridge.  After the bridge there will be a big curve to the left and a big curve to the right.  After those two curves, the turnoff for the ranch is just ahead on the right.

• You'll see the sign for County Road 397.  Take a right onto Co Rd 397.  

• Go straight.  After one mile you'll pass an intersection.  Continue to go straight, but slow down as you approach the intersection & watch for crossing traffic.  Continue straight for another mile where you'll come to a left turn.  

• Take that left turn and head another 0.8 miles to a right turn/curve.  Take that right turn/curve.

• Head another 0.9 miles to a left curve followed about 100 yards ahead by a right curve.  These are blind curves.  Go slow and stay to the right.  

• Another 0.7 miles ahead you'll come to a left turn.  

• Take that left and head straight 0.6 miles to a small wooden bridge.  From the bridge it's another 2.7 miles down the road to the turnoff for the Hotel.  You'll see a line of mailboxes at the turnoff.  Take a right & you'll see the Hotel ahead.
